Virtual Doula Services

Some families prefer to keep their birth as private as possible, with just a little gentle support from a trusted guide. All of the above services are included in our Virtual Doula Service with the adjustment of your birth planning session being conducted online. With Virtual Doula Services you will spend a little more time over the phone and on Zoom support sessions to get comfortable with how we will interface on your Labor Day. Your Doula stays on with you as much as you desire and will ask for specific check-ins during critical decision making moments while you’re in early and active labor.

Some families are giving birth in a hospital which restricts the Doula from accompanying the birthing person due to COVID-19. Virtual Doulas are able to stay with you over the phone or by Zoom chat even through these restrictions. You’ll have her on hand to guide your labor support partner in helping with positions, comfort strategies, words of encouragement, questions to ask your nurse or care provider, initial breastfeeding and early infant interaction.

As a client of PPDA, you are supported behind the scenes by our entire team which includes a Lamaze Breastfeeding Support Specialist, Newborn Care Specialists and over 55 years experience in the field conjointly.

Our clientele has access to a private online community to promote mutual support, bonding, and facilitate connections with other like-minded birthing people. PPDA also hosts many classes and events throughout the year.

Our consultations are complimentary! We would love to set you up with a Doula and start your journey of support while you navigate your pregnancy. Is there a particular Doula that you are interested in?

Thank you! We look forward to the opportunity of serving your growing family.
